New Experiences

Charlie has turned 2 weeks old this week and it has been an eventful week of trying new things. When my brother 'Uncle Bob' came to visit he gave Charlie his first guitar less and showed him a few mean guitar chords and a bit of reverb. He has taken his first bath, which didn't seem to be the most enjoyable of experiences for him but one we hope he will get used to.

He has been out for lunch in our favourite restaurant. He was so well behaved and slept soundly throughtout our yummy meal. I was able to further indulge myself in the remaining seafood items I had yet to sample and tucked into a gorgeous bowl of crab bisque and a huge pile of mussels in garlic. Unfortunately, indulgences had a somewhat detrimental effect on poor Charlie later on that night where he found himself battling with a bad case of wind. Seafood will be off the menu for a while I think.

We also took Charlie for his first walk on the beach and to show him our new beach hut where we hope to be spending many long and lazy days at this summer.

Mike and I are thoroughly enjoying spending time with our gorgeous little man and look forward to sharing more experiences with him as the weeks pass.

Charlie Alonzo Bailey Has arrived

On the 7th February at 9.31am our beautiful son arrived by caesarian section, weighing in at 7lb 7oz. It was the best moment in our lives since our darling daughter Ruby was born and words cannot describe how Mike and I felt when we first heard him cry and knew that he was alright. To top it all the most wonderful bonus is that he also looks so like his sister which made our hearts melt.

Since Charlies arrival, Mike and I have been on cloud 9 and never thought we would ever feel this happy ever again. This little man has brought the most immense amount of joy and happiness into our lives. I don't think he realise just how special he is.

We have been back home for a week now and life is just great, Charlie is eating like a trooper and sleeping for England. It is just so wonderful to have him at home and to do all the things that we didn't get to do with Ruby. Mike and I are relishing the time together at home and I have been totally spoilt by him and have been fed, lobster, brie, prawns and champagne, all the things that I have missed since being pregnant for such a long time.

We have of course taken hunderds of photos already and cannot stop looking at him as he is so totally gorgeous.
