Christmas Greetings
Christmas in our house this year has resembled the local sick bay. All of us have been laid up with the lurgie, Charlie with a 100 a day cough and chest infection, me with the flu (not man flu but actual flu) and Mike with a cold and general aches and pains (aka man flu) So having eagerly waited to finish work so i could sit back relax, drink and eat to my hearts content it actually consisted of taking all manner of concoctions of pills and cough mixture, orange juice by the gallon and not much food as i felt like i had razor blades down the back of my throat. However, regardless of this we did celebrate and spent the course of 3 days opening the mountain of presents that Charlie had been given. He thoroughly enjoyed it and got right into the concept of present opening telling Mike when asked what do you want for breakfast today replied "more presents" horrified that we are bringing up a spoilt brat we have now saved some for his birthday which is only 6 weeks away.
We have seen a number of our respective families and Mike cooked a fabulous turkey on boxing day. We also treated ourselves to a Wii and so our days will now be spent doing virtual bowling, golf, boxing, tennis and all manner of activities available from our front room. Hilarious stuff. We have a few days quiet now before we have a few friends over for dinner and cocktails on new years eve with illnesses gone it will definitely be a more raucous occasion.
