Evicted!

Liz and Mike Bailey you have been evicted from the Big Brother Allotment.

Yes that's right, we have been evicted, off our plot, never to go near a compost heap again. The members of the Whitstable Allotment Society did their regular walk rounds inspecting all the plots and found no 39a to be seriously under par in the growing department and so we were issued with warning number 2. We were somewhat aggrieved about the accusations made about our lack of planting and wondered where freedom of choice and democracy entered into the minds of those running the empire of said allotment society. Power crazy or a secret plot to throw us off as we did have the neatest and sophisticated looking site. Yes, we had nothing growing but our plot looked good.

And so the Tom and Barbara of Whitstable are now back growing a few pots of tomatoes in our garden, our grand plans of becoming self-sufficient down the swany but a feeling of some satisfaction as our complaint letter makes it way to the local council for unfair treatment of its residents.
