Happy Birthday Ruby

Today, Mike and I celebrated the birth of our beautiful daughter Ruby Jeanne. It's hard to believe that it was a year ago that Ruby came into our world and we thought so much today about how grateful we were to spend the time we did with her whilst she was here. Today though was not going to be a sad day, although a few tears were shead when we opened the many cards, messages and gifts that we received from friends and family. Today was a day to celebrate.

So Mike and I took a beautful flower arrangement up to Rubys grave and then headed back to the beach where we released two heart shaped balloons across the sea in memory of our wonderful and brave little girl. We watched them float away until we could no longer see them. Then we sat in one our our favourite restaurants and had an amazing lunch together.

Tonight at 6.51pm we will open a bottle of champagne and think about our darling Ruby and how lucky we were to have her.
